Imagine a future where you take up the technical challenges of ensuring optimal operations of solar, wind, and battery storage for our portfolio of assets in the U.S.
Join us in this role where you’ll be responsible for technical support, analytics, and advanced fault-finding for solar farms, wind farms, and battery storage across the US. You’ll work with Operations and the Low Voltage & Mechanical team, utilizing technical expertise and engineering methods to increase reliability of fleet assets, thereby minimizing site risk and downtime. Within this role, you’ll be the local focal point for all technical solar discussions for three existing solar farms, with four additional sites planned for entering operations in the next year. Additionally, you and your team support the low voltage technology across the wind sites and battery storage technology.

You’ll be part of Low Voltage & Mechanical where you, together with your colleagues, will solve both complex and basic engineering problems related to the portfolio of assets under operation in North America. You’ll provide practical and efficient solutions to these problems using the tools available. As a team, we contribute to a culture of learning and improvement. You’ll play an important role in:
- delivering safety performance and safety leadership for existing U.S. solar and battery storage technology sites
- investigating technical anomalies for preventive actions and future improvements by bringing innovative solutions
- providing technical support to the US renewable fleet
- participating in global technical meetings and conferences to bring best practices and learnings to the solar farms in the Americas
- leading or participating in quality control of panels and inverters after major component exchange, annual service, etc.
- supporting the delivery of regional availability and reliability KPIs through the development of short and long-term improvement plans.
To succeed in the role, you:
- have a positive and collaborative approach to working with multi-disciplined teams
- have an electrical engineering or power systems background, e.g., a degree, Higher National Certificate (HNC), apprentice certificate, or equivalent
- demonstrate operations credibility gained from experience in power generation, chemical, manufacturing, customer service, or equivalent sectors
- possess analytic skills in a complex environment using MatLab, R, Power BI, or similar
- have experience working with low voltage technology and a strong foundation of electrical engineering fundamentals.
