Senior Project Manager

Imagine a future where you play a pivotal role in optimising and developing our sustainable combined heat and power plants towards integrated energy hubs

Join us in this role where you’ll lead large-scale infrastructure projects to drive green development in the power, heat, and carbon capture market. You’ll be implementing new ventures, such as carbon capture and diversification of the district heating portfolio initiatives, as well as reshaping and optimising the role of our power plants in the energy system. Creating a collaborative environment and aligning a wide variety of interests from internal and external stakeholders is key to be successful in this role.

You’ll be part of Portfolio Optimisation & Projects where you, together with your colleagues, will be responsible for shaping and executing strategic investment projects on the assets in Bioenergy, ensuring that we remain a global leader in sustainable combined heat and power production. As a team, we offer a dynamic environment with highly skilled colleagues passionate about realising the green energy transition, working together with the experienced team of project developers and managers to offer a unique opportunity to learn and work on a wide variety of projects.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • inspiring and leading the project team to perform in line with the project objectives through maturation and execution phases.
  • managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as project team, suppliers, steering committee, and authorities
  • developing project towards investment decision, balancing technical requirements and commercial inputs, and always delivering on budget, timeline, and overall business case
  • managing consultant teams, supplier contract negotiations, and EU tender process in close collaboration with our internal procurement team.

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have extensive experience as project manager with executing multi contract infrastructure projects, or similar, preferably within the energy sector
  • thrive with responsibility and have a proactive, visible, and systematic approach to your work tasks ensuring project goals like team performance, time, quality, and economy while never compromising safety
  • have experience with authority approval processes for large infrastructure projects and with working in a bid environment
  • have a degree in engineering or other relevant education or work experience
  • have excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder skills, as well as commercial mindset
  • have an open-minded and inclusive approach to project teams comprising suppliers, consultants, and colleagues from all over the world.
