How to apply
  • 1.  Create profile

    Here you can enter your personal details. This creates your profile, which you can return to at any time should you wish to change any of your details.

    When you are done, click on ”Save & Next

  • 2. Upload personal documents

    Here you can upload your CV, cover letter,  education certificates, photos or any other document that you feel is relevant for your application. Click on ”Save & Next” to continue.

  • 3. Review and send application
    Get an overview of the information you have entered, including your attached documents. Click on ”Show entire application” to see a full overview. If you are happy with what you see, click on ”Send application”. If you want to change something, you can return by clicking on ”Back”.
  • 4. Confirmation
    When you have submitted your application, you will shortly after receive an email confirming that we have received your application.

  • Application

    Applications can only be sent online using the link available in the job advert. Shortly after, you should receive an email confirming that we have received your application.

  • Invitation to interview

    If we are not in the process of continuous recruitment, we will go through the applications immediately after the application deadline has passed. You will be informed as soon as possible if we feel your profile matches the role you applied for, and we will call you in for an interview.

  • The interview
    Among other things, the interview will help us to match each other’s expectations and give us a chance to get to know you as a person. We will focus on your professional and personal qualifications, what you expect from the job, what the job involves and introduce you to Ørsted's culture and values. Depending on the job, you may be invited to come to more than one interview with us.
  • Tests
    In order to find the right candidate, we often use personality and aptitude tests. Tests do not give a complete picture of you as a person but we use them to supplement the information you give us in your application and through the interviews. You will always be given a chance to comment on any tests and provide further input.
  • Pre-employment screening
    Please be advised that all UK based roles are subject to pre-employment screening, conducted by a third party.

  • How do I find out the salary for the role?
    We ask candidates to state their current salary and salary expectations in their applications. Should we have any questions about your salary expectations we will be in touch.
  • What are the working hours at Ørsted?
    Depending on the role, Ørsted works to a 37.5 hour weeks or a 40 hour weeks (shift pattern).
  • When will I hear about my application?
    The earliest you will hear about the outcome of your application is 2 weeks after submission deadline.
  • Where is the vacancy located?
    All our vacancies will state a location, if it does not, it may mean that the role is a travel role or the location is yet to be decided.
  • What qualifications do I need to become a Wind Turbine Technician?
    To become a wind turbine technician, candidates shall hold an Apprenticeship / BTEC / HNC in Control & Instrumentation, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or alternatively qualified to work as an Electrician, Mechanic or in a Hydraulic discipline.
  • What are the shift patterns for Wind Turbine Technicians?
    Wind Turbine technician shift patterns can change from site to site, this will be clarified in the interview process.
