Ørsted UK’s Country Manager Benj Sykes participated in a dynamic panel discussion where they questioned how to deliver offshore wind at scale including, what is driving cost increases across the offshore wind supply chain and how projects are managing them.

Mairi Dudley, Development Project Director, joined a panel discussion that explored whether Contracts for Difference (CfDs) are still the right mechanism to underpin offshore wind investment. The panel examined recent experiences in the UK and Europe and what they have shown about moving away from CfDs, plus the lessons policymakers and industry should take forward.

Ørsted’s UK Head of Media Relations, Paul Haines joined a panel discussion that looked at which common myths about offshore wind still shape public perception, and how the sector can communicate the realities clearly and credibly. The panel also explored how to balance discussion of energy prices, billpayer impact, and broader socio-economic benefits when telling the offshore wind story.
