Applications are encouraged for projects that have wide potential benefits to local fishing communities. Only applicants who belong to, or who represent HFIG, are eligible to submit project ideas.

Proposals will be evaluated by the Westermost Rough Fishing Community Project Steering Group that is formed of a DONG Energy representative and a West of Morecambe Fisheries Fund representative.
Westermost Rough offshore wind farm, located 8 kilometres from the Holderness coast, has a capacity of 210 megawatts, producing enough green electricity to power over 150,000 UK homes.
