New fund to support fishing community projects in Holderness

DONG Energy is donating over £240,000 to the new Westermost Rough Fishing Community Fund which will support fishing community projects in the Holderness area.
The fund has been established to help community projects that are of potential benefit for members of the Holderness Fishing Industry Group (HFIG) and it will be managed and administered by the independent grant-making not-for-profit company West of Morecambe Fisheries Ltd.

The Westermost Rough Fishing Community Fund is now seeking proposals for projects to be funded in 2016. The total sum available in 2016 is £162,500, and a further donation of £81,250 will be made to the fund in 2017. If there is any balance remaining at the end of 2016, this will be carried over to the 2017 funding round.
