Thrive Safety Leadership Centre shortlisted for two major awards
Dermot Kerrigan, Co-Director of ATT said: "Thanks to Ørsted’s vision and investment, ATT has been able to design a ground-breaking safety leadership centre of excellence on the Humber. The centre is available for use by all companies in the renewables, maritime, and related sectors. We are so pleased to see Thrive gaining recognition from such prestigious award schemes.”
Thrive features a hard-hitting, multi-media scenario which examines the build-up to a fatal incident on a load-out operation and its consequences. Having committed £1.4 million funding to create the purpose-built facility in partnership with ATT, Ørsted are inducting all personnel working on the Hornsea Two offshore wind farm project through Thrive. Thrive is a legacy for Hornsea Two and an example of innovation in the Humber’s rapidly developing renewables sector.
Duncan Clark, Head of UK Region, Ørsted, explains: “We’re really proud of the partnership that has created Thrive. ATT’s local team and colleagues have continued to work through the pandemic, and I’m hugely grateful that with their professionalism and focus we have stayed safe and with no compromise on the training. Safety is at the core of everything we do, and the bit that’s different is the engagement of emotion - it immerses people into the experience, helping creating a safer culture. Thrive connects people with the serious impacts of getting things wrong in a way that is very difficult to do with traditional desktop training.”
Returning for their 22nd year, the Energy Institute Awards celebrate and showcase accomplishments in the energy sector. This year, the awards received a record-breaking 120 plus entries from 29 countries, including India, Pakistan, Nigeria, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Australia, United States, Canada, and many European countries. The EVCOM London Live Awards showcases outstanding achievement in the design and execution of live events and experiences by agencies and freelancers internationally. They look to reward the most progressive and creative agencies and creatives working in the professional discipline today. Both award ceremonies are scheduled to take place in November.
