Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue, a dedicated volunteer organisation, plays a crucial role in the ethical rehabilitation of injured wildlife in the Cleethorpes area. The new rescue trailer will significantly improve their volunteers’ ability to work tirelessly to provide care and support for animals in need, ensuring that they receive the attention and treatment necessary for recovery. The trailer was custom built, by Apache Trailers, in just four weeks!
"We are thrilled to support Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue in their vital work," said Josh Bray, Offshore Coordinator Team Lead, at Ørsted. "It’s important to us to support charities and organisations in our area on the East Coast. A huge thank you to the volunteers whose commitment helps protect and nurture local wildlife. We are proud to contribute to their efforts and help make a positive impact in the community."
This partnership is in its fifth year, which also included Ørsted supporting Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue last year with a grant to upgrade their water rescue equipment, PPE, and training. By providing Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue with the resources they need, Ørsted is helping to ensure that the area's wildlife receives the care and protection it deserves.
"We are incredibly grateful to Ørsted for their generous donation," said Aaron Goss, Rescue Manager at Cleethorpes Wildlife Rescue. "The new rescue trailer will be an invaluable asset to our team, allowing us to respond more effectively to wildlife emergencies and continue our mission of safeguarding the natural heritage of Cleethorpes. As a wholly donation-funded service, we rely on the generosity of the community and businesses in the area to sustain our operations and continue our vital work. Every contribution helps us to deliver the best possible service for wildlife.”
