Ørsted, a leader in offshore wind, operates six wind farms from their west coast operations to provide clean energy to the UK grid. With over 300 people directly employed and 82% from the local area, Ørsted’s commitment to giving back to the communities where its colleagues live and work is central to its approach. The partnership with St Mary’s Hospice is an example of that commitment.
Funds raised through the partnership enable St Mary’s Hospice to continue its vital, compassionate care for people with life-limiting illnesses - across its community hub, bereavement support groups, at-home services, and the hospice itself. Donations fund care for around eight in ten patients, showing how crucial community support is to sustain these services.

It costs over £6.1 million each year to run St Mary’s Hospice, and only 17% of that comes from the Government via the NHS – so partnerships like this make a real difference.
