The two organisations work together to help prepare students for careers in STEM and the offshore wind sector. As a core industry partner since ENLUTC opened in 2015, Ørsted continues to support curriculum development, workplace learning opportunities, and real-world projects that connect classroom learning with the world of work.
The latest development in this partnership sees ENLUTC’s Ørsted tutor group team up with Ørsted colleagues to design and install wall murals across the college. After the tutor group’s visit to Ørsted's East Coast Hub, they wanted something that mirrored the branding on the wall of the state-of-the-art operations and maintenance facilities. The project brings sustainability themes to life within the learning environment and reinforces the practical link between STEM education and the renewable energy industry, right here in the Humber. They even included graphics of technicians in full protective wear and leadership quotes on the wall.
This latest project has been supported by Hornsea 3, Ørsted’s third gigawatt-scale project in the Hornsea zone we’ve been developing since 2015. On completion, Hornsea 3 will be the world’s single largest offshore wind farm, producing 2.9 GW of clean energy, enough to power more than 3.3m homes.

They bring energy, curiosity and pride to everything they do. The wall designs are a wonderful reflection of that spirit, and the touches they added are fantastic - including cartoon kittiwakes and even an ENLUTC minibus crossing the Humber Bridge. It’s a vivid reminder of how industry and education partnerships can spark creativity while highlighting career pathways in offshore wind.”
Furthermore, there was an opportunity to show the proximity of ENLUTC to the wind farms through a large-scale map in the now branded reception area. This will make an impression and impact to all ENLUTC students and parents through key information shared on a large map of the coastline.

Ørsted’s ongoing support for ENLUTC includes lunch-and-learn sessions, career fairs, and student visits to the company’s East Coast Hub in Grimsby, along with joint projects focused on sustainability and offshore wind. This collaboration mirrors Ørsted’s broader commitment to developing a robust pipeline of skilled engineers and technicians to help the UK achieve its net-zero goals.
