This is an aerial view of our Renescience facility in Northwich, Cheshire. This plant will use Ørsted's patented Renescience technology and will be the first full-scale bio plant in the world capable of handling waste through enzymes, mechanical sorting and anerobic digestion.

This is a picture of the CHP (Combined Heat and Power) engines. The gas is ignited in a ‘gas engine’ which turns an electricity generator than produces power. The Renescience facility in Northwich have four engines each producing 1.5MW and waste heat to help power the system.
The large green tanks are called Digesters. They mix the bioliquid allowing the bacteria to produce the methane (biogas). The gas is stored in the grey hats (the covering above the green tanks) before going to the CHP's (Combined Heat and Power engines). There are four Digesters at the Renescience facility in Northwich.
This is a photo of pipes within the Anaerobic Digestion (AD) bund. They transfer the gas from the AD plant to the Combined Heat and Power (CHP) engines . The digestate is removed from the Digesters to be warmed to 40 degress and then returned and ultimately removed from the system.

This is a photo of two Reactors. This is where the waste is "washed" with enzymes and hot water.
This is a photo of the waste reception bunker. The bunker receives fresh waste from the delivery vehicles, which is transferred into the plant by use of the waste grab.
You can see the window of the control room [top right corner] where the grab is controlled either manually or automatically.
Carnegie Road is our first commercial stand-alone battery energy storage system.
