Generation Accounting & Operations Manager

Your main responsibilities will include clarifying the team's purpose, recruiting, setting direction, ensuring training, and maintaining strong stakeholder connections. Our aim is an efficient, high-quality operation staffed by satisfied employees.

You’ll be part of Business Accounting & Operations KUL where you, together with your colleagues, will provide accounting & reporting services, maintaining budget and forecasts figures in our reporting system, managing Joint Venture accounting activities,  cashflow forecasting, cash funding activities and month-end activities for our generation assets to our stakeholders.

You’ll play an important role in:

  • setting the direction and motivating the team as well as staffing the team with the right resources
  • ensuring the team provides quality services and valuable support to stakeholders, finance staff, and executives, including smooth work transitions when needed
  • implementing best practices and emphasize on process standardization
  • ensuring compliance to internal and external policies and agreements
  • maintaining budget and forecasts figures in our reporting system.

 

To succeed in the role, you:

  • have a bachelor’s/master’s degree in economics, accounting, finance, or FP&A
  • have leadership experience with direct reports
  • demonstrate strong communication skills by conveying information clearly, and you possess advanced proficiency in both spoken and written English at an academic level.
  • understand accounting and financial planning well, and you work independently, aim for results, stay motivated, and use a structured, data-based approach
  • possess general knowledge on local GAAP requirement
  • thrive in an international environment and have the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
