When you use the whistle blower function available at www.orsted.com, we ask you to provide information on the issue you wish to report. For further information on use of this information, please see separate privacy policy which will be presented when using the whistle blower function.

If you choose to receive newsletters or other information from us or participate in competitions, we may ask you to provide information such as name and contact details. We will use such personal data in accordance with your permission and the information given at collection.

The types of personal data

We advise you not to disclose your Danish civil registration (CPR) number, sensitive information (information about racial or ethnic origin, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union affiliation or information about health and sex life) and information about other purely private matters (information about criminal offences and significant social problems) about you or others when using our website and its functions.

The legal basis for processing of your personal data

Retention of your personal data

Ørsted will retain your personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it is processed or to comply with any applicable legal retention requirements.

Information about your online behaviour collected via cookies will be retained for a period of up to 1 year.

Further, you have the right to rectification, erasure (the "right to be forgotten") or restricted processing of the personal data Ørsted processes about you. You also have the right to object to the processing of your personal data. Under specific circumstances you have the right to data portability.

If processing of your personal data is based on your consent, you may withdraw your consent at any time. Please note, that this does not affect Ørsted's processing of your personal data prior to the withdrawal of your consent.

If you have requested to receive information from Ørsted, e.g. newsletters, etc. and do not wish to be receive further information, you can at any time opt out of receiving further information from us.

We erase your data within one month from the date on which you unsubscribe receipt of marketing material, newsletters, company announcements and other information about Ørsted.

  • Suppliers, including IT suppliers, support and financial institutions cooperating with us in order to assist Ørsted

5. Personal data about other parties 

If you provide personal data about other people (e.g. contact information for colleagues in the company in which you are employed), you must make sure that they agree to it, and that you have permission to provide us with such data. In addition, you must refer them to this privacy policy, when you provide us with their data.

These countries have not been determined by the European Commission to be countries offering an adequate level of data protection.   • You have the right to receive the personal data that you have provided yourself in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format (data portability).

9. Changes in our privacy policy
